inspirational video of the month

this month i am throwing up videos of P.O.S.E. run technique drills. i am mainly sharing these with my friend nancy, but i also need to start focusing more on endurance work for the 09' triathlon season.

And damn, I see that you got yourself a calf injury.

Advice from my own Physical Therapist was, to give it more time to heal than you think you need. So, if it feels better tomorrow, you'd be best to wait another 2 weeks before testing it again. Otherwise, you have a higher risk of re-injury.

thanks for the advice nancy! i have had a similar calf injury a few years ago playing basketball so i know i have to be cautious. i have another soccer game on monday & i am not 100% sure if i will test it that night. i have been doing heat & ice now with ibuprofens.

I watched the pose running videos you posted. The one with the guy outside doing the drills was great. I think I finally understand some part of what's supposed to happen.

Funny, though I've always hated to run, and have decided to wait a while to start up with it...there's this part of me that is just dying to go out and run. I think it's just the challenge of trying to learn a new skill. I want to show myself that I'm coordinated enough to learn to do it!

Hey...this weather...it's killer!! And there's a swell too. Hope to get out surfing tomorrow morning!
